Ian Burroughs - 6 October 1934 -21 April 2020
"Sadly, our great friend Ian Burroughs died peacefully in his sleep early this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and the whole family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace and rise in glory" - Mark
With love and prayers to you Nancy.
So many fond memories of our panto producer, Ian. He used to call me Brown Owl and always ask about the Brownies. I remember helping him when he fell painting scenery at church, fetching my car and taking him home. He really didnt want a fuss. He was a true gentleman, who had high standards for our amateur panto productions, which we were all keen to achieve Ian will be missed but I feel all the better for knowing him. May he rest in peace. With love to you Nancyand family
Ruth Baker - (Brown Owl!)
"Ian's direction of parish pantomimes in past years became almost
legendary, when his--and Nancy's-- drama expertise was hugely valued.
Ian was a splendid welcomer at St Martin's on a Thursday afternoon. He never failed to delight visitors in bringing the church's history to life (and possibly embellishing it!).
Even when he couldn't hear what others were saying to him over coffee on a Sunday he remained unfailingly kind and cheerful. Dear Ian."
