Bellringers

Both St Martin and St Paul’s have three chiming bells each, some of which date back to the 13th Century. Although our bells are not traditional full circle rings they still need chiming for services and weddings which takes some practice and team work.
 
Many people who started chiming with us then went on to take up full change ringing elsewhere in Canterbury – a lifelong hobby and team activity. If you are interested in ringing our bells full training will be given, it’s a good prelude to learning to change ring at another tower. Contact Michael Keeler via the Parish Office.
