From Christmas day onwards:

Comfort and Joy is the Church of England’s 2020 Christmas campaign.

Taking inspiration from a traditional carol service, it features daily reflections from Christmas Day to Jan 2nd for the Christmas season from Kate Bottley, Jonathan Bryan, Bob Chilcot, Martha Collison, Stephen Cottrell, Guli Francis-Dehqani, Chine McDonald, Sally Phillips and Justin Welby.

Comfort and Joy holds together the hope that Christmas will bring joy and celebration after a uniquely difficult year with an acknowledgement that – for those who have lost loved ones or livelihoods, or who are potentially still not able to be together with loved ones – it may be the Church’s role, both nationally and locally, to provide consolation, rather than assume everyone will be ready to join in jubilation.  Take part in Comfort and Joy with:

· The official booklet from Church House Publishing Only 80p Get it from

· Free app for Apple and Android devices will become available see
