The Mothers' Union
The Mothers' Union is a world wide Anglican organisation specially concerned with all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life. This Parish has a large and active branch which meets monthly, usually on the first Wednesday of the month (often in the evening) for talks, activities, and dicussions, and holds a Corporate Communion service at 9.30am on the 3rd Saturday of the month. We make posies for Mothering Sunday, Easter baskets for patients at St Martin's Hospital, and support church events. We also run a mother-and-toddler group called Fisherfolk for babies and young children on Mondays and Wednesdays in term time from 10.00 am until 11.30 am; it is held in the Parish Centre in Church St (St Paul's) Canterbury. Loving Lord: we thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support
of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.
