Mondays and Wednesdays 10am-11:30am (Mondays are term-time only but an occasional Wednesday session in the Summer holidays maybe organised. Please call 01227 768072 for details)
Run by Mothers' Union this is a parent & toddler group aimed mainly at those under 2 years of age, though all pre-school children are welcome.
toys and activities, refreshments, rounding off with story and singing. We ask for a £1.50 donation to cover our costs and to buy new equipment.
This is a unique playgroup as adults stay to enjoy the morning with their children, with opportunities to make new adult friends
CHEEKY MONKEYS is on Thursday and Friday mornings 10am-12pm at the Parish Centre, Church Street (St Pauls) CT1 1NH.
There is an hour of play and craft, followed by refreshments, then a story and singing in the upstairs Children's Room. The older children can go to the story/singing on their own if they want to, so some of the Mums stay in the main hall and have a coffee and a chat for 15 minutes or so.
Cheeky Monkeys is aimed at 18 months-4 years olds, but younger children are welcome too. It costs £3.25 per week per family and it's run a bit differently from other playgroups as you pay half termly in advance as the money helps to pay the two play leaders. They are Debbie and Pippa who are very experienced and helpful. As you pay by the half term, you get to know most of the people really well and it's very friendly.
FISHERFOLK is on Monday and Wednesday 10am-11.30am and is aimed at younger children (and babies) although preschoolers are welcome too! It is very similar to Cheeky Monkeys although the children do not have a separate story time upstairs and there is the excellent craft activities that Cheeky Monkeys prides itself on. But there is still a snack and singing :) It is a drop-in session and costs £1.50 each week.
